Chicago Bears 2026 UDFA Tracker: Ryan Poles looks to continue finding success at adding hidden talent the league forgot to draft
The 2026 NFL Draft is officially over but the work continues with undrafted free agents landing in new NFL homes. Follow along to see who else the Bears bring onto the roster.
The 2026 NFL Draft has wrapped up and the Chicago Bears added seven new rookies to the roster, but the work is far from over.
Undrafted free agent signings are underway and this is a process that general manager Ryan Poles has had previous success at during his tenure with the team. Players such as Tyson Bagent, Theo Benedet, and Jahdae Walker all went on to make Chicago’s 53-man roster despite going undrafted.
That process is already underway for 2026, so let’s start tracking some of the UDFA signings as the Bears look to round out the 90-man roster going into the rest of the offseason.
Chicago Bears 2026 UDFA Tracker
QB Miller Moss
Ryan Poles has had previous success with UDFA quarterbacks. Bagent is the big name going into his fourth season with the Bears and even landed solid second contract for himself as the team’s backup. Even Austin Reed was a solid UDFA addition that spent two years in Chicago before continuing his career at the UFL playing at an MVP level.
Former Louisville quarterback Miller Moss hopes to find similar success in Chicago as he joins Caleb Williams, Bagent, and Case Keenum in the QB room. Moss threw for 2,679 yards and 16 touchdowns in his lone year at Louisville. Prior to transferring, Moss started one season at USC taking over for Williams after he was selected first overall by the Bears in 2024. Moss spent three years as Williams backup with the Trojans.
CB KC Eziomume
The Bears added just one cornerback during the 2026 NFL Draft in Malik Muhammad. Chicago is now adding more competition to the position in former Tulane cornerback KC Eziomume. Eziomume has a large frame and plays strong in press man. He also can be a downhill player in the run game.
K Gabriel Plascencia
Special teams is getting some UDFA love as well. The Bears have always prioritized having two kickers going into the offseason and added Gabriel Plascencia to the position alongside veteran Cairo Santos.
The former San Diego State kicker went 35/35 on extra points and 19/23 on field goals during the 2025 season. Plascencia is actually a lefty kicker that is consistent but doesn’t have the deep range. Similar to what the Bears have now in Santos.
RB Coleman Bennett
Chicago left the draft without adding a running back to challenge for the RB3 role against Brittain Brown and Roschon Johnson. The Bears now added one in Coleman Bennett out of Kennesaw State. Bennett rushed for 764 yards and four touchdowns during the 2025 season. Bennett is similar to former Green Bay Packers RB Emanuel Wilson with solid lateral explosiveness and was a team captain.
TE Hayden Large
Ben Johnson isn’t done adding to the tight end room after already drafting Sam Roush in the third-round. Hayden Large had just 52 receiving yards in 2025 and never recorded a touchdown in three seasons at Iowa. However, Large had a 70+ pass blocking and run blocking grade during the 2025 season on 314 blocking snaps.
OL Caden Barnett
The “Vanilla Gorilla” is coming to Chicago. Caden Barnett received plenty of pre-draft interest after being a three-year starter at Wyoming. Barnett was projected as a sixth-round target and fits well in Chicago’s zone run scheme. He brings experience at right guard and right tackle to the Bears offensive line. Barnett is getting a hefty contract that includes $277,500 in total guarantees and a $30,000 signing bonus.
WR Squirrel White
A wide receiver looking to follow in the steps of Walker and JP Richardson in Chicago is Squirrel White. The former Vols totaled 1,665 yards and six touchdowns in Tennessee before having a down year at Florida State in 2025. White excels in the slot and brings plenty of speed to the table. He also came in at #64 2023 Freak’s List due to his speed and vertical jump.
DL Jayden Loving
After drafting an athletic freak of a defensive tackle with their last pick in Jordan van den Berg, the Bears are adding another one in Jayden Loving. At the Wake Forest Pro Day, Loving posted a 4.82 40-yard-dash with a 1.64 10-yard-split at 6-1, 309 pounds. He totaled 2.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for a loss during the 2025 season.
LS Beau Gardner
Another special teamer joining the roster. Former Georgia long snapper Beau Gardner will get to compete against Luke Elkin, who was college teammates with punter Tory Taylor. Gardner won the Patrick Mannelly Award as the nation’s top long snapper.
S Skyler Thomas
The Bears gutted the safety position this offseason while bringing in Coby Bryant and Cam Lewis in free agency and Dillon Thieneman in the first-round. Chicago could use some more depth and that depth is on the way in Skyler Thomas. Thomas played 434 snaps in the box and 140 snaps at free safety in 2025 totaling 78 tackles and one interception.
OL Jaren Kump
Jaren Kump brings five-positional experience to the Bears offensive line and is another plug-in-play player up-front the Bears can toy around with at various positions over the summer. He played over 800 snaps at center in 2025 and allowed just one sack.
