The Las Vegas Raiders have aced this offseason, but of course, they have to translate all that into success for it to really matter. Regardless, they had a great free agency and followed that up with maybe an even better 2026 NFL Draft. This roster is undoubtedly better now than it was last year.

But it’s not just the moves they’re making in free agency and the draft. The Raiders have also brought in some very talented players in other ways. They may have their most talented UDFA class we have ever seen, with several guys who could make the 53-man roster. They then signed and brought on some extremely good tryout players. And, of course, something that flew under the radar a bit—they signed the No. 2 overall pick in the CFL Draft. They did so as the Colts only sent him a camp invite.

According to Justin Dunk, the Raiders have signed Canadian OL Niklas Henning. The Raiders have desperately needed OL help, whether that be depth or starting talent. They took an unconventional route to find someone extremely talented. So, who is Niklas Henning?

I spoke to A to Z’s Tyler Forness, who is well-versed in the CFL, and it sounds like Henning could be a good football player, especially considering his 9.06 RAS score, or Relative Athletic Score.

Who is Niklas Henning, the Raiders’ newest offensive lineman?

Niklas Henning is a fascinating player. Coming from Queens in Canada’s U Sports, Niklas Henning was the second overall pick in Tuesday’s CFL Draft by the Toronto Argonauts. He was projected to be a starting offensive tackle long-term for the Argonauts, as they need more Canadian depth on the offensive line.

He’s a fascinating player. Hennings was a former tight end and has only been an offensive tackle for two seasons. There is a really nice profile to work with, but he needs time to develop. When you have the kind of size, length, and athleticism Henning has, it’s a great dart throw for the Raiders to make with Klint Kubiak taking over. As for Henning, the Argonauts have his rights in perpetuity, meaning they can play the waiting game.
