Jayden Daniels is already one of the more popular names despite playing just two years in the NFL and he’s about to become even more well-known after the news stating he’ll appear in the third season of the Netflix show Quarterback in the coming months.

The NFL announced the news Wednesday, along with a press release detailing more information. Per the statement, the show will air on Tuesday, July 14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward, and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco will also be on the show:

“This year, cameras go behind-the-scenes with Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders), fresh off a highly anticipated start to his career as he enters year two looking to build on his dual-threat potential and cement himself as the face of the franchise. Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) returns after stabilizing Tampa Bay’s offense and, with his fiery personality still front and center, aims to prove he can keep the Bucs in contention. Cam Ward (Tennessee Titans) steps into the spotlight as the No. 1 overall pick and one of the league’s most intriguing young quarterbacks, fighting to establish himself.

“And Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco, shockingly traded midseason to the Cincinnati Bengals, embarks on a new chapter, balancing his wealth of experience with the pressure and opportunity of another NFL campaign.”

Jayden Daniels doesn’t seem like the type of guy to do something like the Netflix show Quarterback

Daniels’ involvement is a bit of surprise, honestly. He definitely likes to keep to himself, more than anything, and doesn’t seek the limelight nor attention.

So it’ll definitely be intriguing to see how he carries himself on the show. My guess is he’ll be himself, as always. However, does that make for good television? There’s definitely a certain energy/personality that’s needed in order to connect with people through the screen. Daniels is a great guy, but it remains to be seen just how “entertaining” he is.

Regardless, it’ll be a cool and fun look into his work and personal life and it’ll give Commanders fans access they’ve never had before. The last couple of seasons have been insightful, informational, and entertaining and this round should be no different.
