The son of a Tennessee Vols legend is heading to Baton Rouge to play for Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers.

Quarterback Kaden Martin announced on Friday that he’s joining the LSU football program.

Kaden is the son of former Vols quarterback and assistant coach Tee Martin.

Tee Martin, who served previously served as the Baltimore Ravens’ quarterbacks coach, joined LSU’s coaching staff earlier this offseason.

Kaden actually started his college career as a baseball player with the Miami Hurricanes before switching to football last season at Middle Tennessee State.

Kaden, who played for three seasons at Knoxville Catholic in high school, didn’t record any stats at MTSU last season.

What Tee Martin said about returning to Neyland Stadium in 2026

Tee Martin, who served as an assistant coach at Tennessee from 2019 to 2020, will return to Neyland Stadium this season when LSU visits in November.

“He’s (Kiffin) already started — I’m trying to work out and he’s blasting Rocky Top in the weight room,” said Tee Martin recently when asked about returning to Knoxville as an opponent. “It’s good. It’s all fun. You’ve got to have the narrative, you’ve got to have the excitement. That game was going to be big before I even got here. So, it just added a little bit to it.

“But it’s always great to go back to Neyland. It’s always great to play that type of competition. They’re doing really well as well. So I don’t even know how I’m going to feel. You know, my kids live there. I have four grandkids that live in Knoxville, so I’m going to be about that. And we’ll play the game and let the chips fall where they may.”

Tee Martin is serving as an offensive analyst for the Tigers.
