It sure looks like the reunion will happen. On Sunday night, the rumors surrounding the New York Giants and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. got very real with a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

And right now, a signing appears highly likely.

Giants to work out Odell Beckham Jr. (again)

The Giants will bring in Odell Beckham Jr. for a workout on Monday, according to insider Jordan Schultz.

“Both sides have remained in contact for months, and there remains mutual interest in a reunion,” Schultz wrote on social media.

While not all workouts turn into a signing, this one appears inevitable. Keep in mind, this is Beckham Jr.’s second workout with the team in the last two months. He visited the Giants in April leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft. Why bring him back now if not because there’s genuine interested in a deal?

Why the signing appears inevitable

Additionally, the timing makes plenty of sense. The Giants wide receiver room took an unfortunate hit last weekend when Gunner Olszewski tore his Achilles tendon, opening a spot at the position.

That’s not where the speculation ends. New Giants head coach John Harbaugh has a connection to OBJ after the latter played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. Beckham Jr. caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games. He certainly seems to have Harbaugh’s seal of approval.

“(Beckham Jr.) and I do talk, we do text,” Harbaugh said in March. “We’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world. It’s not like you don’t talk to guys on things like that. And certainly, we have.”

If the signing of the fan favorite wide receiver does happen, expect it to be soon. Giants minicamp starts on June 8, and it’s likely Harbaugh would like Beckham Jr. to show up by then.

Beckham Jr. didn’t play in 2025. He accepted a six-game suspension in October and remained a free agent all year. He hasn’t had a 1,000-yard season since 2019 with the Cleveland Browns.

In five years with the Giants, Beckham Jr. made three Pro Bowls and was a two-time second-team All-Pro. In that span, he averaged 78 catches and 1,095 receiving yards per year. He also averaged nine touchdowns per season.
