NFL insider may have just pulled the most asinine take about Brock Bowers and the Raiders right out of thin air

The Las Vegas Raiders are in a really good spot, so of course, one NFL insider would want to try to drag them down.

There’s no doubt, the Las Vegas Raiders have been through it as of late. When you lose as much as the Raiders have, things are bound to get crazy. So, yes, Maxx Crosby did demand a trade. However, he’s still with the Raiders, and that will be the case in 2026.

That actually happened. What didn’t happen was tight end Brock Bowers requesting a trade. And no one is reporting that he did, but one NFL insider says he could have. And that is just the worst take you will see today.

Mike Florio has a crazy take about tight end Brock Bowers

“Maxx Crosby wanting out of town was well documented. I think it was just a matter of time before Brock Bowers was going to start making noise to get me the hell out of here,” Mike Florio said. “If they didn’t change coaches, they could have had Brock Bowers trying to get out of Las Vegas along with Maxx Crosby.”

There will be some non-Raiders fans who read this and maybe agree with Florio. But here’s the thing—you guys don’t follow or cover the Raiders the way the media and fans do. If you cover Bowers, you know he would never do anything like that. There’s no way a guy like Bowers, who is as quiet as they come and just wants to play ball, would demand a trade after his second rookie season.

And, let’s face it, Bowers is amazing, the best tight end in the league, but he’s not in a position to demand a trade. His agent would not allow that, and if they did, the Raiders would just laugh it off. Not to mention, Bowers wasn’t just great last year either. He played poorly while dealing with an injury, so why would he feel he has the right to request a trade after a down year?

It’s that time of year. Florio has nothing else to write, nothing better to do, so he just makes stuff up and stirs the pot. No one should be surprised here.
