Former Ohio State football QB Terrelle Pryor has been brought up a bunch lately with all that’s happened with Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby, and the one-time potential that he could be entering the supplemental draft.

Now, Pryor is making headlines following an arrest in Pennsylvania last month when a Mercedes was pulled over for allegedly speeding.

According to WPXI News, the former Ohio State star was arrested on May 24 with a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance in Monroeville, which is not far from where Pryor is from in Jeannette.

Pryor was not the driver of the vehicle and was instead spotted by police lying in an “odd manner” in the back seat. A rifle was allegedly spotted on the floor of the vehicle and Pryor was asked to exit the vehicle.

The 36-year-old allegedly pulled out his wallet to show his concealed carry permit when police noticed a baggie with a powder substance. Pryor has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug. 3.

Pryor starred at Ohio State from 2008-2010 after being recruited as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the country. As a junior, Pryor threw for 27 touchdowns in 2010 to go along with 2,772 passing yards, 754 rushing yards, and four touchdowns on the ground.

Pryor withdrew from Ohio State in June of 2011 after Jim Tressel resigned and rumors continued swirling of the Ohio State quarterback obtaining cash, cars, and other benefits. This all came far before the NIL era and Pryor entered the supplemental draft in 2011.

The former Buckeye played in seven NFL seasons, but just 51 games total. After his tenure with the Raiders organization didn’t work out as a quarterback, Pryor made the switch to wide receiver in 2015. Pryor’s best NFL season came in 2016 with the Cleveland Browns when he went for 1,007 receiving yards and four touchdown catches in 16 games.
