Elite Ohio State football recruiting target made a promising admission right after his official visit to Columbus
Ohio State football had another big recruiting weekend, and one visit just so happened to be a major offensive tackle target. The Buckeyes are giving the SEC lean a lot to think about.
Another June weekend meant another round of official visits for the Ohio State football program taking place over the last couple of days.
Ohio State welcomed in numerous key visitors over the last couple of days, including a big-time offensive tackle target from the heart of SEC land.
Buckeyes left an impression on an elite offensive tackle whose a Ole Miss lean
Ohio State welcomed in high four-star Jackson Academy (MS) OT Caden Moss for an official visit the last couple of days. The Buckeyes made their pitch to the Mississippi native and it sounds like things went well.
“The OV was good,” Moss said via Rivals. “I’m excited about potentially being a part of a championship team.”
It sounds like Moss is giving the Buckeyes a chance here and the door is at least open. Ole Miss is the favorite for Moss, but Ohio State has a lot to offer in development and potential to play early in his career. According to 247 Sports Composite, Moss is the No. 7 offensive tackle in the class of 2027, and the No. 72 player nationally.
Along with Ole Miss, Moss is considering Oregon, Tennessee, and Kentucky along with the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-5, 320 pound offensive tackle isn’t a must get for the Buckeyes isn’t a must get with what they’ve already done for the 2027 class. Ohio State has done a strong job of getting offensive line talent in-state, then shooting for a couple of national players for the group
The Buckeyes have five commitments along the offensive line with four-star IOL Kellen Wymer, four-star OT Jimmy Kalis, as well as four-star interior offensive linemen Mason Wilt, Davis Seaman, and Brody McNeel.
Tyler Bowen’s offensive line haul this go around in Columbus is one of the more complete groups we’ve seen in recent memory. Getting someone like Moss would be the cherry on top, but it’s easier said than done with Ole Miss the heavy favorites.
