Micah Parsons’ injury update from his brother on social media adds to the suspicions the Chicago Bears have been hoping to hear

The Chicago Bears might luck out and only end up playing Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons once again during the regular season based on the latest injury update shared by his brother on social media.

The Chicago Bears are the reigning NFC North champs and will be looking to defend that crown this upcoming season with an entire division chomping at the bit to get their revenge against Ben Johnson’s squad.

No team is more eager to get back at the Bears than the Green Bay Packers after losing each of the final two games they played against Chicago, including the NFC Wild Card Round loss at Soldier Field.

The one game the Packers did win against the Bears was the one game in which star pass rusher Micah Parsons was on the field gunning for quarterback Caleb Williams. That’s no coincidence and Parsons is more eager than anyone to get back after the Bears again. However, it sounds like he might have to wait longer than he and Packers fans hoped.

Latest injury update on Micah Parsons adds to the suspicions that he will miss Week 5 vs. Chicago Bears

When the 2026 schedule was released, the first matchup between the Bears and Packers was scheduled for Week 5 at Lambeau Field. Around that same time, it was reported that Parsons will likely open the season on the PUP list as he recovers from an ACL tear suffered last December, which would force him to miss the first four games of the season.

That would mean the earliest game Parsons could possibly return for would be Week 5. However, Parsons’ brother Terrence provided an timeline update that kills that dream for Packers fans, although it’s not to be taken as gospel obviously.

“I am not the source I just confirm or deny information when he’s starting on the pup week 5 was always unrealistic,” Terrence Parsons said on X. “Need at least 3 weeks of practice from whenever he starts practicing that’s the KEY…

“I don’t think he’ll be practicing week 3 I honestly don’t think he’ll hit the practice field till October,” he said in a following response.

With the way things were headed with Parsons’ reported timeline, this was to be expected. The Packers are always hesitant to rush players back from serious injuries, that’s especially going to be the case with their top player they heavily invested in.

If this turns out to be true and Parsons doesn’t return until Week 7 or 8, this would be huge for Chicago. Johnson considered the Packers to be the best defense they faced last season when Parsons was on the field, although he was just as respectful when he wasn’t.

All signs are pointing toward Parsons facing off against the Bears again on Christmas Day at Soldier Field, which continues to look like one of the most highly anticipated games on the NFL schedule.
