Tennessee forward Nate Ament became the first Vol from the Rick Barnes era to be a lottery selection on Tuesday night.

Ament, who spent one season at Tennessee after joining the program as a five-star recruit, was selected by the Miami Heat with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

The former Vol, however, will be heading to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat (that trade is not yet “official”, so the Heat essentially drafted Ament on behalf of the Bucks).

Ament isn’t the only Vol who will be selected in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Center Felix Okpara and guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie are expected to be selected on night two of the draft.

On3 predicts that Okpara will be selected by the Toronto Raptors with the No. 50 overall pick.

They have Gillespie going to the Washington Wizards with the No. 60 overall pick (the final pick of the draft).

The second round of the 2026 NBA Draft will begin at 8:00 pm ET on Wednesday night.
