The Miami Dolphins’ future is a blank canvas. And some of the players who were brought in will have a chance to leave a major impression on the future of the franchise.

The prominent names here include first-round draft choices Kadyn Proctor and Chris Johnson, free agent signing Malik Willis, and more. But some of the less heralded players are bringing their own hunger to the table. Rookie linebacker Kyle Louis is among them. His new interview with Travis Wingfield on ‘Drive Time’ will endear him to plenty of Dolphins fans eager to see this team find an edge. Because Louis most certainly has an edge to him.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Kyle Louis is ‘addicted to the growth’ that comes from watching tape

“When I first watched tape and I actually saw a difference, I just got addicted to the growth. Just got addicted to seeing how much of advantage it gives you when you watch so much more tape than what you’re actually just expected to watch.”

Yeah. Fire me up, buddy! We’ve seen plenty of peeks behind the curtain as to what makes the Miami Dolphins’ massive 2026 NFL Draft class tick. But if you’re looking to set a mindset within a building? Get a few dudes on the roster that think like Kyle Louis does. The quote stems from a comment made by Louis’ college coach, Pat Narduzzi.

“Nobody in my 10 years at Pitt watched as much tape as Kyle,” said Narduzzi in The Athletic’s annual NFL Draft Guide via Dane Brugler.

Louis, of course, fell out of the top-100 of this year’s NFL Draft. That was primarily on account of concerns about his fit at the NFL level. He’s an undersized linebacker who lacks experience playing in the deeper portions of the field. But the Dolphins seem to have a specific role in mind, if not several. And if this is going to be how Louis approaches his craft, I’m not sure you’d be wise to bet against him. I, for one, will not.
