Marshall Manning just threw his first career high school pass and it was a little extra special for Vols fans for a very cool reason
Marshall Manning, the son of Tennessee Vols legend Peyton Manning, threw his first career high school pass on Thursday night.
Thursday night provided a big treat for college football fans.
Baylor School and Brentwood Academy met in Chattanooga on Thursday night in a game featuring several future SEC stars that aired on ESPN 2.
Ole Miss commit Keegan Croucher is the starting quarterback for Baylor, and he obviously saw most of the action. But freshman Marshall Manning, the son of Tennessee Vols legend Peyton Manning, got into the game in the second quarter and threw his first career high school pass.
And the moment was a little extra special for Vols fans for a simple reason — five-star running back David Gabriel Georges, a Tennessee commit, was lined up beside Marshall for the play.
It was a pretty cool sight for Vols fans.
Marshall looked pretty good throwing on the run — he certainly appears to have more athleticism than Papa Peyton.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Georges showed everyone why he’s one of the top-rated recruits in the nation.
This will be the only year that Gabriel Georges and Marshall are on the same field in high school, and they likely won’t overlap in college (DGG is expected to be three and done at the college level).
But who knows, maybe they’ll be on the same NFL team one day.
