The Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) will face the Los Angeles Chargers (0-5) in Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season at 3:25 CT on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The Chiefs lead the all-time series 71-60-1, with their last matchup against the Chargers coming in December 2025. In that Week 15 game, Patrick Mahomes suffered his season-ending knee injury. Los Angeles won both their matchups against K.C. in 2025, but before that, the Chiefs were on a 7-game winning streak against the Chargers.

Will you be able to watch the latest game between these two clubs on TV? If you live in the blue areas on the map below, you’ll get this game on your local CBS channels, according to 506sports.com:

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers Week 6 Broadcast Map:

The Chiefs-Chargers mostly compete with the Bills-Raiders for market share in the CBS late window. The San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, parts of Washington, parts of Idaho, and everywhere east of St. Louis won’t be able to watch the Kansas City-L.A. game on Sunday.

Kevin Harlan and Trent Green will be on the call for Week 6

The Chiefs will have a fan-favorite broadcast crew. Former Chiefs QB Trent Green will join Kevin Harlan in the broadcast booth, providing color commentary and analysis as the play-by-play announcer. Melanie Collins will be reporting from the sideline. This marks the second time this broadcast crew has called a game for Kansas City in the 2026 NFL season. They also called Week 3 vs. the Miami Dolphins.

Chiefs vs. Chargers assigned referee Alan Eck

The Chiefs drew referee Alan Eck for Week 6 vs. the Chargers. Since he was promoted to referee in 2023, Kansas City has a 2-1 record when Eck is calling a game. Eck last officiated the Chiefs’ Week 14 loss to the Houston Texans in 2025. In 2024, he officiated the Chiefs’ Week 7 win over the San Francisco 49ers. In 2023, he saw over the Chiefs’ Week 3 win over the Chicago Bears.

Eck has officiated just four games so far this season. His crew has an NFL low of 51 accepted penalties and the second-fewest flags thrown with 60. His crew tends to favor the away team, with 34 penalties on home teams and 17 on away teams in those four games.
