The Texas Longhorns and the Florida Gators are both looking to get right this week.

Texas is coming off its first loss of the year last weekend after dropping a close game to Oklahoma.

Florida, meanwhile, suffered its second straight loss, losing in blowout fashion to South Carolina in Gainesville.

ESPN’s Rece Davis thinks it’ll be Texas that “gets right” on Saturday in Austin.

“The Gators beat Texas last year,” said Davis. “Arch (Manning) said it left a bad taste in his mouth. We know the two interceptions that he threw in the fourth quarter (last week) that were just debilitating against Oklahoma. Arch has thrown four 4th quarter interceptions in his career. Those two (against Oklahoma), and two last year against the Gators.

“Texas has averaged less than 23 points per game against Power-4 teams at a minus five turnover margin. I don’t think Florida’s defense is quite up to the task against this. I think Texas will win the game. … I’ll take Texas.”

The revenge angle worked for Texas earlier this season against Ohio State. Maybe the bad taste from the loss to Florida last season will help the Longhorns finish on the right side of the scoreboard in this one.

Texas and Florida are set to kick off at 11:00 AM CT/12:00 PM ET on ABC.
