Marshall Manning, the son of Peyton Manning, just liked a very interesting social media post concerning Arch Manning’s college football future

There’s been quite a bit of discussion over the last several weeks about Texas quarterback Arch Manning’s future.

The feeling going into the 2026 season was that Arch would have a great season and then be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Arch, though, hasn’t played like a future No. 1 overall pick for the Longhorns this season.

To be clear, it’s not that Arch has been bad, but he’s certainly not anywhere close to reaching his ceiling as a player (to be fair, he’s still developing as a player — quarterback is one of the toughest positions to play in sports…just look around the NFL).

Anyway, because Arch doesn’t look like a sure-fire first round pick at this point, there’s speculation that he could return to college for his final season of eligibility in 2027.

And that has led to further speculation that Arch could transfer (since Texas isn’t exactly a quarterback development factory under Steve Sarkisian).

Former Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon suggested this week that Miami could be a good fit for Arch if he decides to transfer.

Bussin with the Boys posted a video of Carthon’s comments on Instagram, and the post was liked by an interesting person — Marshall Manning, Arch’s cousin (and the son of Peyton Manning).

What does it mean???

I don’t know if it means anything. Maybe Marshall, a 2030 quarterback recruit, was just mindlessly scrolling and his thumb hit the like button by mistake, or maybe Arch is really considering trading in his cowboy hat for some South Beach neon. Or maybe Marshall just thinks Ran Carthon is speaking some truth.

Either way, you never say never in college football (though I truly think Arch’s focus is only on the current season). I mean, would anyone be truly shocked if the Hurricanes found a way to lure Arch to Miami?

Of course, plenty of other schools will be in Arch’s texts if he does enter the portal after the season.

Ole Miss, Georgia, maybe even LSU.
