For all his hardships as a passer over the last two seasons, Alabama QB Jalen Milroe has always had a wild card in his back pocket.

That would be his rushing ability, which is often deemed a superpower.

But in Norman, on Saturday the Oklahoma Sooners didn't just take away Milroe's scrambling ability, they stole the hopes and dreams of both Jalen Milroe and the Tide.

Jalen Milroe's Draft Stock to Plummet after OU Game

Coming into Saturday, everything was looking open for Milroe and Alabama. Being mocked as high as the top five in some drafts, the signal caller for Alabama put together what was one the worst games of his career, accounting for a mere 164 yards passing, seven rushing yards, three interceptions, and just three points.

In doing so, the Tide may have all but kissed their chance at the College Football Playoff goodbye after suffering their third loss.

But the loss and more specifically the performance against the Sooners is likely to be devastating for Milroe's draft stock. The decision-making and accuracy flaws that showed their face on Saturady night, against a 5-5 Sooners team is not requisite of a top selection at QB.

Teams were already all over the place on Milroe in terms of his NFL projection, and the lack of star power in this year's croip of signal callers was always going to bode well for his stock.

But losing in that fashion, in a must-win scenario and with a game that he will soon want to forget, Milroe may be better off returning to school than declaring for the draft in April.

Would his return be in the Crimson & White?

That much is to be determined.
