Florida State Seminoles get devastating news in spring football practice that was completely out of their control

The Florida State Seminoles will be without one of their most talented wide receivers during spring football in Jayvan Boggs, who they pulled back out of the transfer portal this offseason. This is a devastating blow for the spring, but there’s still hope he practices in the fall.
Seminoles will be practicing without Boggs, who has elite potential
Boggs is a freak of nature when it comes to athleticism. Last offseason, wide receiver Duce Robinson called him one of the most athletic people he’s ever seen. With an MLB Hall of Famer as a father, Boggs has the work ethic and IQ that coaches value. Although he didn’t get much playing time, his significance for the team’s future is clear.
“He’s incredible,” Robinson told reporters after one fall camp practice last season. “He has everything that it takes to be the best player in college football, the best freshman in college football… he is going to be a really, really big problem in college football. He can block, his ball skills are unbelievable…burst, route running. That dude is a dog, and he’s going to be a really big problem.”
Boggs is 6’1”, 211 pounds, and a standout athlete. He was ranked No. 12 at wide receiver nationally, coming in as a freshman. They believe he’s even better and could be elite as he enters his sophomore season.
He played in eight games last season, despite injuries that kept him out for the first half. Somehow, even on that terrible team as a true freshman, he managed to finish his first season with just 107 receiving yards on nine catches and a receiving touchdown.
Boggs returned from the portal, aiming to compete for a starting spot in the offense. Robinson is expected to start as one of the nation’s top receivers, and Micahi Danzy will likely join him. So, there’s an open spot to compete for, especially with the departure of Lawayne McCoy and Elijah Moore.
FSU has true freshmen Jasen Lopez, Devin Carter, Efrem White, Brandon Bennett, Darryon Williams, and Jonah Winston all coming in. Now, those guys will be able to step up and get more reps with Boggs out.
