It’s no secret that the Florida State Seminoles are in a bad position with their football program right now. They won two games just two years ago and followed that up with five wins, but the team is still nowhere near where the fan base wants it to be.

FSU is also in a tough situation with its coach. Mike Norvell has been in the hot seat for some time, but his buyout appears to be far too large for the Noles to pull the trigger on. And they’ve gotten worse at their recruiting over the last year. Things aren’t looking great, but they just landed an elite player in the 2027 class. So, you have to take all of the wins you can get.

Earlier this week, the Noles landed a commitment from four-star wide receiver Sean Green, a Georgia kid whom the Noles beat Georgia on. Or, did they? Sure, the news broke then, but he’s been committed for some time if you ask him.

Sean Green opens up on his recruits to the Seminoles

“To be honest, I’ve been committed since April; I just didn’t announce it,” Green told Warchant.com. “But definitely just liking the way I saw myself in the jersey and the hospitality they treated me with. I love the brotherhood that they’ve got. Like coming off a bad season, they had like last year, I could see a big difference that they’ve had this year.”

The 5’10, 180-pound receiver is fast. He moves with explosiveness and agility, the kind that can instantly break the opposing team’s heart. Green has homerun play ability, and his route running is certainly a part of that, too.

He kind of gives off a bit of Malachi Toney vibes, the true freshman wide receiver last year at Miami who was lighting the world on fire. If the Seminoles could get similar production at some point, it would be a huge win.
