With quarterback Noah Grubbs already committed in the 2026 recruiting class for the Notre Dame program, the Irish staff already has their eyes set on the 2027 class. Quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli has been evaluating signal callers for several months, and you can expect that to continue moving forward. We are, however, still waiting on the first offer to be extended.
You can expect that to change over the next couple of months. Notre Dame is set to host several prominent signal callers this offseason for visits. Here are some of the early names to know.
Peter Bourque – Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy
At 6-4 and 190 pounds, Bourque has a nice frame that can continue to be developed. He is also a very smooth athlete, and throws extremely well on the run. Bourque has a clear interest in Notre Dame. If they offer, the Fighting Irish could be tough to beat despite interest from Ole Miss, Texas A&M, UNC, Maryland, and Wisconsin among others. He will be visiting again on March 21.
Keegan Croucher – Cheshire (Conn.) Academy
Croucher doesn’t boast a ton of offers yet, but the ones he does are impressive. So far he has been offered by Michigan, Ole Miss, Indiana, Syracuse, and Minnesota. At around 6-4 and 200 pounds, Croucher wins mostly from the pocket and throws with great touch. He will be heading to Notre Dame on April 5.
Peyton Houston – Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian Academy
Houston is the smallest of the quarterbacks on this list at 6-0 and 195 pounds. What Houston lacks in size, he makes up for with natural arm talent and playmaking skills. He is already being pursued by some heavy hitters across college football, including Georgia, Texas, Michigan, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Miami, Florida, Florida State, and Auburn among many others. Houston will get his first look at Notre Dame on April 4.
Trae Taylor – Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel Catholic
Like Bourque, Taylor will be returning to South Bend on March 21. Taylor is a player that Notre Dame fans are pretty familiar with. He has been on campus several times already, and plays football in the state of Illinois. The 6-3, 186-pound passer has been waiting on an offer from the Irish and it hasn’t come. He has already set a commitment date for June 6, and the top contenders include Michigan, LSU, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Illinois.
Malachi Zeigler – Benton (La.) High School
Houston isn’t the only talented Louisiana signal caller visiting South Bend this offseason. Ziegler will also be checking out the program on March 27. At 6-3 and 205 pounds, Ziegler is a true dual threat quarterback. He currently holds offers from Ole Miss, TCU, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Baylor among others.
