Sooners have their eye set on a 2028 quarterback with some impressive traits that should translate well to the SEC
The Oklahoma Sooners have their 2026 QB in Bowe Bentley. They have their 2027 QB in Jameson Roberts and are now looking for their 2028 QB.
On Monday, Oklahoma Sooners QB coach John Kuceyeski issued an offer to what could be his next quarterback, as Bowe Bentley and Jameson Roberts patiently await their turn.
The Sooners offered Brady Quinn, a highly-regarded QB recruit in the 2028 cycle. The Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna QB already has some very transferable tools and, by the time he gets to college, could have some elite arm talent. Quinn is now one of three quarterbacks in the 2028 cycle who hold an Oklahoma offer, alongside Graham Simpson and Trey Tagliaferri.
They seem to really like the South Florida signal caller, and he knows a bit about Oklahoma as well.

Brady Quinn has some connections currently on the Oklahoma roster
“Me and Jayden Petit played with each other my freshman year,” Quinn told Parker Thune of Sooner Scoop. “So I know a little bit about Oklahoma from him; we train together when we’re both in Naples. We’re pretty close. And I’m gonna go up on campus during the summer. I need to tune into the offense more and see what they’re about.
“What they’re trying to do is, I probably have like five other teammates of mine in the 2028 class at Chaminade with an Oklahoma offer. They’re trying to bring all of us up at one time. And we’ll just spend a day or two there; they said they’ll treat it like an OV, and we’ll have a great time visiting.”
Quinn is currently a three-star QB, but could easily make the jump to a four-star as early as next year. The Sooners are getting out ahead of it. Quinn is 6’0, 190 pounds. However, he has great mobility, the same kind that Ben Arbuckle looks for in all of his QBs.
Quinn has one of the best go balls you will ever see from a player at his age. He can move around the pocket very well, and when he needs to make off-platform throws, he’s exceptional at flipping his hips and squaring his shoulders. Quinn can make pretty much every throw. He has some amazing cross-body, on-the-run type throws that you see from guys in the league like Patrick Mahomes.
He’s also a smart player, and some may think it’s hard to tell that from watching his tape, but I can tell you that not many 15- to 16-year-old quarterbacks are running an RPO, zone-read offense as efficiently as he is.
If OU can land Quinn and tap into that insane potential, who knows what can happen.
