Texas exes Bijan Robinson and Xavier Worthy had their first matchup as NFL pros Sunday night, and the two got to share a special moment afterward.
Worthy’s Kansas City Chiefs captured a 22-17 win against Robinson’s Atlanta Falcons. Robinson was at the center of the storm on the game’s pivotal play as he was stopped short on a critical fourth down that effectively iced it for the Chiefs.
Still, the two former Longhorn teammates met afterward for the traditional jersey swap, a moment captured on the Chiefs’ Instagram account.

Seeing these two wearing NFL uniforms wasn’t hard to imagine when they were in burnt orange. Robinson finished his UT career as the fourth-leading rusher in school history with 3,410 yards. Worthy finished sixth all-time in receptions with 197.
NBC announcer Chris Collinsworth highlighted Robinson’s gritty running on a touchdown replay where he said, “This is what a Texas running back does.”
Robinson finished the night with 16 carries for 31 yards and the one score. It was tough sledding against the defending Super Bowl champs.
“Well first, I have to give honor to God always for getting us out healthy and let us have the opportunity to play for Him. But it was tough,” Robinson said afterward. “They made us fight for everything that we had to get.
“Like you said, they’re No. 1 team in the NFL who just won the Super Bowl,” he added. “I feel like we had it in the bag. We were right where we wanted to be. Obviously, there are some mistakes on our side of the ball. We’ve just got to pick up a couple of guys in that last play then we’re good. We’ve got to be better on our side.”
Worthy finished with three catches for 13 yards. He didn’t have it much easier against the Falcons defense.
After the game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked about the limited connections with tight end Travis Kelce, who had just four catches for 30 yards and went long stretches without being involved.
Mahomes said the more Mahomes is involved, the more Rashee Rice makes plays and the more the Chiefs can run the ball, “the more we can get Worthy involved,” that’s going to open Travis up more.
“I mean, people are really emphasizing trying to take him away and it’s getting other guys open,” Mahomes said.
