Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has earned the reputation as a strong leader that his teammates rally behind. It's very common to hear players speak highly about Prescott on and off the field.
Former Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley is among those on the long list that are fans of Prescott. Beasley caught passes from Prescott for three seasons, and it is clear that the quarterback left his mark on the wideout.
In a response to a tweet that suggested that Houston Texans rookie signal caller CJ Stroud is already showing off similar leadership traits as Prescott, Beasley made a point to highlight the traits that the Cowboys' QB demonstrates.
"Dak is by far the best leader I’ve played with," Beasley tweeted out in reference to fellow former Cowboys wideout Noah Brown seeing similarities between Stroud and Prescott. "Dak’s huddle presence is something that can’t be taught. That says a lot if this is true."
Noah Brown had spent his entire career playing with Prescott before signing with the Houston Texans this offseason. Brown spoke highly of both his former QB and the one that he will be catching passes from moving forward.
“They’re both great quarterbacks. I mean, great arm talent," Brown said of Prescott and Stroud. "I think it’s a little bit early to compare a rookie to somebody like Dak Prescott. That's a great class to be in.”
Beasley's words hold a lot of weight because of the quality of quarterbacks that he had played with in the NFL. Including Prescott, the former SMU standout also played alongside Tony Romo in Dallas and then Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills.
It's clear that Dak Prescott is doing something right. Beasley wanted to point out the leadership that Prescott brings to the table, and Brown also spoke highly of the signal caller of America's Team.
