When the Dallas Cowboys moved on from wide receiver Amari Cooper, it put the spotlight on CeeDee Lamb, who would be responsible for WR1 duties. To whom much is given much is required, and Lamb has delivered in 2022.

The former first-round pick has already set career highs in yards (1,307) and receiving touchdowns (8), but it's been his prowess in another area that's put him in elite company. After his 11-catch performance against the Tennessee Titans, Lamb went over 100 receptions for the season, making him just the third receiver in team history to do so joining Michael Irvin (1995) and Jason Witten (2012).

Lamb's consistency in catching the ball has been prevalent all season. He has three games with 10 or more receptions and only has two games under five receptions.

With the Cowboys heading to the playoffs, it's critical to have their best players playing their best at the end of the regular season. Lamb has done just that by catching 37 of his 45 targets over the last five games. As a result, Lamb has scored three touchdowns and racked up three 100-yard performances over that span.

Lamb has done something else this season that hasn't been done in quite some time within the Cowboys. He's the first Cowboys wide receiver since Dez Bryant in 2013 to have over 90 receptions, more than 1,200 yards, and eight touchdowns in the same season.

The ascension of Lamb simply can't be denied at this point, and one of the best receivers in the NFL, Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, recently tipped his hat to the two-time Pro Bowler.

"I ain't gonna lie, I like CeeDee Lamb," Hill said. "That boy so smooth."

It's time to put all the questions to rest when it comes to Lamb. He is a legit no.1 receiver in the league, and he's itching closer to being in the top five discussions at the position.
