The Dallas Cowboys are not in their best stretch of the season. A close, come-from-behind win against the Texans and an overtime loss to the Jaguars has sounded the alarms.

Dak Prescott has received his fair share of criticism. He didn't play well against the Texans, and he was credited with two interceptions against the Jaguars — albeit the second of which was to no fault of No. 4.

Prescott has not taken care of the football in the last weeks. Whether his fault or not, that needs to change. However, Prescott should not change his aggressive approach on the field.

“Most importantly, he needs to keep firing. Let’s make that clear. We’re not slowing down," Mike McCarthy said this week.

Dak Prescott knows he has to take better care of the ball. He has made a career out of doing just that before this recent stretch. The Cowboys' quarterback is certainly aware of the situation.

“Whether it’s a tipped ball, whether it’s an unfortunate interception, whatever it is, they all suck," said Prescott. "And at the end of the day, I’ve got to do a better job, and that’s where it is.”

Despite the uptick in turnovers, Prescott isn't worried about it impacting his play. He pointed to his mental toughness as a reason to not worry about his performances moving forward.

“Not to brag, but I’m pretty mentally tough," Prescott said. "From the outside, I wouldn’t worry about that for one second with me. And if I’m not, I’m for sure not hesitant or scared to say I’m struggling a little bit.”

It's clear that the Dallas Cowboys are more explosive with Prescott behind center. It's also evident that the turnovers need to stop as the Cowboys look to close out the regular season strong.

Up next for the Cowboys is a rematch with the Eagles. Prescott said that the team is looking forward to playing their NFC East rival on Christmas Eve.

Getting a win over Philadelphia is crucial as Dallas looks to get back on track. Dak Prescott appears confident that the Cowboys will be able to do just that.
