The Dallas Cowboys won't be playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, unfortunately. But Cowboys Nation is already thinking about ways the front office can improve the team via free agency.

Because of that, let's take a quick look at two players from the Kansas City Chiefs that the Cowboys could target this offseason.

The players below are a mix of guys that could come available and could be looked at as realistic free-agent targets, especially if the front office takes the same all-in approach to roster building as they have with the coaching staff after parting ways with OC Kellen Moore.

Spoiler alert: Both are wide receivers.

1. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, KC

This is perhaps the most high-profile name on the list. JuJu signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs in 2022 and he's set to cash in this offseason. This year's free agency class doesn't feature many top-tier wide receivers. As such, Smith-Schuster's contract value might end up being inflated enough to keep the Cowboys out of it but he'd be the safest bet in free agency.

JuJu is a proven wideout who can consistently make plays over the middle of the field and has reliable hands. He's a tough, physical player that won't shy away from hits and has proven he can generate separation, something the Cowboys know they need out of a WR2.

And even though he's been in the league since 2017, he's still 26 years old. He'd be relatively expensive but if the Cowboys are trying to surround Dak Prescott with weapons in 2023 in a high-stakes season, Smith-Schuster might be a player they should really consider if he becomes available.

Spotrac projected market value: $14.6M per year.

2. Mecole Hardman, WR

I'm cheating a little bit by including Hardman on the list as he won't be playing in the Super Bowl because of injury.

But Hardman could be a player worth looking at especially since he's likely to come at a lower price. Spotrac projects the fast wide receiver to average $11M per year but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up costing less.

After all, he totaled 2,088 receiving yards over his first four years in the NFL. Those are not numbers that will get you a bag full of money. But Hardman is a guy who can stretch defenses vertically thanks to his speed.

In a way, he can probably aim to be an upgraded version of Kavontae Turpin on offense. Hardman has been involved in many gadget plays on Andy Reid's offense while playing in about half of the snaps on offense. That's significantly more than what we've seen from Turpin on offense.

If Hardman doesn't receive those high-valued offers some expect, I'd bet the Cowboys would benefit from getting him to Dallas.

Spotrack projected market value: $11M per year.
