The NFL playoffs may be raging on, but it is the off-season for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans. So, that means the fanbase gets to discuss the most important topic of all. Free agency? Nope. The NFL Draft? Not that either. The coaching carousel? Not quite. Uniforms? Yes!

Of course, the conversation is completely subjective. Many people will disagree on which Cowboys uniforms trump others. Some may prefer the beloved, original throwbacks from the 60s or 70s while others may enjoy the modern looks like the updated color rush uniforms.

That being said, this is the only objective and 100% correct ranking of the top five uniforms in Dallas Cowboys history that you will ever find. Buckle up!

#5 – 1962 White Uniforms

The OG Cowboys fans grew up on these, and they are a very good look compared to some of the other uniforms from that time period. The stars on the shoulders looked stellar, although, they will improve later on in the rankings! The all white combo beats out the 1962 navy jersey/white pants combo simply because they look less clunky. The font is a bit too basic, but it was also almost sixty years ago. I'll let that slide. The contrast between the stars on the shoulders and the helmet's star is a nice touch as well. Overall, simple but as classic as it gets. They had to be included here.

#4 – Thanksgiving Day Throwback

Cowboys fans remember Tony Romo and Dez Bryant rocking these. The simplistic helmet was a homage to the 1960s helmets with a modern touch. The double navy lines on the white lid was a really good look. Additionally, the navy-starred white shoulders with the navy torso put a new spin on the 1962 and 1995 uniforms. The jerseys remind me of a blend of the current navy alternate and the jerseys on the older uniforms I mentioned previously. These gave the final three a run for their money.

#3 – Color Rush Uniforms

The All-White color rush unis are undoubtedly one of the best sets in the entire league. Similarly to the color rush combos of the Saints and Giants, white jerseys and pants with the team color trim looks super slick. The navy numbers with white trim and a navy outline give great depth to the jerseys as well. Unfortunately, the only missing piece to the puzzle are the white helmets. The NFL's rule that limits teams to the same helmet for all uniforms. So, it robs all of us from the opportunity to see a helmet similar to the one with the Thanksgiving throwback in this set also. It would wrap it together perfectly and possibly even move it further up this list. Regardless, the current combo is one of the most elite color rush sets in the league and deserves this ranking.

#2 – Current Navy Uniforms

These alternates have quickly become a Cowboys fan favorite. These don't incorporate the stars on the shoulders like the color rush jerseys do, but the numbers are still a good look in their place. The white pants add some needed contrast from the silver and navy above them, which really wraps it all together nicely. Dallas needed a blue jersey to offset the mostly white combos of their other two main uniforms currently. This one delivered. Dallas needs to continue using these as often as they can.

#1 – 1995 White Uniforms

The grandaddy of them all… this combination of the white jersey, silver helmet, and grey pants of the mid-90s screams Dallas Cowboys. This was when the glorious star on the shoulder truly hit its peak. Who can forget Troy Aikman barking out play calls in this masterpiece? Or Deion Sanders with his oversized, but somehow lovable, shoulder pads underneath the layered stars? The blend of blue and white throughout the uni is magnificent, especially throughout the jersey. This set absolutely has one of those jerseys that any Dallas fan of the 90s may see in a store nowadays and audibly scream. The Cowboys desperately need to bring these back in some manner, and it is certainly possible since they also used the silver helmet in original version of it. This uniform is both classic and exquisite.
