Lions meet with top WR prospect at NFL Combine
The Detroit Lions are meeting with one of the most electrifying prospects at the NFL Combine.
There is reason to believe that the Detroit Lions could be looking to add one of the most electrifying players in college football from the 2022 season.
The Lions have been meeting with numerous top prospects at the NFL’s Scouting Combine. One of those players happens to be TCU wide receiver Quentin Jonhston, per Aaron Wilson.
Johnston, who many expect to be the first receiver drafted, compiled 60 catches for 1,069 receiving yards and six touchdowns in his junior year at TCU.
His six-foot-four stature comes with a large catch radius, which makes things easier on QB Jared Goff. His size also makes him the perfect complimentary wideout to rising star Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The Lions hold two picks in the first round (6 & 18), but if Detroit is targeting Johnston they can likely nab him at No. 18 overall. Johnston’s big-play ability would stretch secondaries vertically and make defensive coordinators pick their poison with St. Brown lining up alongside him.
