A radio host in Alabama is having trouble accepting the Crimson Tide's 52-49 loss to the Tennessee Vols.

Ryan Fowler, host of "The Game on 100.9" in Tuscaloosa, sent a tweet on Monday night that suggested an official was celebrating a Vols touchdown in the first quarter.

Here's the tweet:

To even make that suggestion is wild. This is conspiracy theory territory.

That's likely just that referee's mannerisms. Or perhaps the energy of the crowd had him a little amped up. Officials are human, after all, and I'm sure they were aware of the electric atmosphere at Neyland Stadium on Saturday. These guys aren't robots.

The idea that the officials were secretly rooting for Tennessee to win is completely absurd.

For starters, there were critical calls that went both ways. There were two pass interference calls — one against each defense — that could've gone either way. Each call led to a score for Tennessee and Alabama.

The Vols got away with some calls as did the Tide. That's how it goes in college football — officials aren't perfect.

It's not a surprise that Alabama fans are having some trouble digesting their first loss to Tennessee since 2006. They haven't been in this position in a long time.

But suggesting the referees were openly celebrating Vols touchdowns is a new low, even for Bama fans.
