A former Tennessee Vols standout was among the first roster cuts by the Tennessee Titans this week.

Cornerback Kenneth George was waived on Tuesday according to the team.

George was signed by the Titans in May as an undrafted free agent.

The Lafayette, LA native played for the Vols from 2018 to 2021. George spent the first two years of his collegiate career at Trinity Valley before transferring to Tennessee (he took advantage of the extra COVID-19 year of eligibility so he could play for the Vols in 2021).

George played in 33 games and made 10 starts at Tennessee. He totaled 52 tackles, 10 passes defended, and one interception.

His one career interception came in 2019 in the Vols’ win against Mississippi State.

George will likely hope to latch on with another team during the preseason.
