Former Tennessee Vols defensive back Emmanuel Moseley had a terrific game on Sunday for the San Francisco 49ers against the Carolina Panthers.

Moseley picked off Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield and returned it for the score.

It was Moseley's first career pick-six and it came in a game that was a homecoming for the former Vol. San Francisco was playing at Carolina and Moseley is from Greensboro, NC, which is just an hour away from Charlotte (Moseley attended the same high school, Dudley, as current Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker and the two were teammates for a year).

Unfortunately for Moseley, his season also came to an end on Sunday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday morning that Moseley tore his ACL in the 49ers' win.

Moseley was a lightly recruited player out of high school who didn't have many Power-5 offers. He wasn't supposed to make a big impact at Tennessee and he certainly wasn't expected to reach the NFL.

But his hard work paid off and he beat the odds. I have no doubt that he'll work hard to get back from this knee injury and continue to be a key player for the 49ers.
