Dee Beckwith transferred from Tennessee, after initially playing on defense for the Vols. The 6'5", 230-pounder had 4 carries for 27 yards at running back

Beckwith was rated as the No. 18 athlete in the nation and the No. 397 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class.
The Alabama native was never able to find his footing in Knoxville. He started his career as a wide receiver before moving to running back. Beckwith didn’t see much action for the Vols, accumulating just 27 rushing yards on four carries over the past two seasons. Most of his action came on special teams.
I always thought Beckwith would’ve been a better fit at tight end (he’s 6-foot-5/227 lbs) or outside linebacker. But the general feeling seemed to be that Beckwith would shy away from contact at times.
The former Vol was never going to see much action at Tennessee, so it makes sense that he’s heading to a program where he should be able to find some consistent playing time.
