The conspiracy theories from Alabama fans on why the Crimson Tide lost to the Tennessee Vols have been absolutely wild.

First, there was the theory that the officials were openly celebrating Tennessee touchdowns.

Obviously, that's just the official's mannerisms in a wild, amped-up environment (they aren't robots).

That conspiracy theory is misguided, but at least it's not "bizarre".

The latest one, however, is perhaps the craziest theory I've ever seen for why a team lost a football game.

An Alabama fan suggested that Tennessee's goalposts that were torn down were too narrow and that's why fans threw them into the river.

I'll give it to Bama fan Phillip — this is certainly original. But it's silly nonetheless. Tennessee kicked on both sides of the field during the game. And they had no idea which way they'd be kicking to end the game.

Of course, that's not to mention that the field goal that Alabama missed in the fourth quarter was wide by about five feet.

I guess when you haven't lost to a team in 15 years it's hard to digest.
