2023 five-star quarterback Arch Manning is one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation.
And for obvious reasons.
Manning has an incredible football pedigree (the Manning family has combined for four Super Bowl wins and 20 Pro-Bowl appearances) and elite football skills. He’s rated as the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 class in 247Sports’ composite rankings.
All the major college football programs are hoping to sign Manning, including the Alabama Crimson Tide.
On Friday night, Alabama head coach Nick Saban made his way to New Orleans to check out Manning’s basketball game.

Saban’s visit came on the heels of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart (along with members of his coaching staff) stopping by Isidore Newman to watch Manning play basketball.

There are still at least 11 months until Manning signs with a program. This recruitment is likely going to get wild with major programs like Alabama and Georgia vying for Manning’s signature.
Ole Miss, the alma mater of Arch’s dad, grandparents, and uncle (Eli Manning), will also obviously be in the mix.
What’s particularly interesting about this recruitment is that NIL money likely won’t be a factor in Manning’s decision. Relationships and X’s and O’s will be what wins this battle.
