Mike Vrabel should absolutely be the NFL coach of the year this season.

What Vrabel has accomplished with the Tennessee Titans this season has been nothing short of amazing.

The Titans have faced more adversity than any other team in the NFL. Tennessee has played a league-high 86 players this season. They've played without Derrick Henry — the best running back in the league — for half the season.

If the Titans would've missed the playoffs this season, there would've been some legitimate excuses for Vrabel to lean on.

Instead, the Titans are the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Tennessee secured the No. 1 seed after beating the Houston Texans 28-25 and finishing the regular season with a 12-5 record.

While most folks seem to agree that Vrabel should be the coach of the year, there's at least one person who isn't concerned with who wins the award.

That would be Vrabel himself.

Vrabel referenced Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera on Sunday after Tennessee's win, saying "Focus on things that are important, not on things that are interesting".

I'm sure Vrabel would enjoy earning NFL Coach of the Year honors — who wouldn't?!?!

But ultimately all that matters to Vrabel is winning a Super Bowl.

The Titans have a first-round bye thanks to their win on Sunday. That means they need to win just three more games to finally bring a Super Bowl Trophy to Nashville.

If that happens, then I'm sure Vrabel would gladly accept the NFL Coach of the Year honors.
