The internet has spent a lot of time over the last couple of weeks debating comments made by Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Tannehill was asked by reporters earlier this month about mentoring rookie quarterback Malik Willis, the No. 86 overall pick by the Titans in 2022 NFL Draft.

The former Texas A&M signal caller told reporters that it’s not his job to “mentor” Willis.

Various athletes, active and retired, weren’t shy to give their thoughts on Tannehill’s comments. The reaction was split, some agreed with Tannehill, while others slammed him.

On Friday, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel gave his thoughts on Tannehill’s comments.

“I thought Ryan handled that very well. I thought he was genuine and authentic,” said Vrabel. “I know Ryan is a great teammate. That is not his job. His job is to help us win games.”

It’s clear from Vrabel’s comments that he’s team Tannehill — which should end any “controversy” surrounding the quarterback situation in Nashville.
