Tennessee Vols guard Kennedy Chandler was named the Most Valuable Player of the SEC Tournament on Sunday afternoon after UT's SEC Championship game win against Texas A&M.
Chandler scored 14 points on Sunday in the championship game to go along with seven assists and four rebounds. He also hit four-of-seven threes.
Winning the MVP, however, may not have been the coolest thing that happened to Chandler on Sunday — as hard as that is to believe.
The future NBA draft pick received some love from Memphis Grizzlies guard and NBA All-Star Ja Morant.
Check it out.
Chandler is a Memphis native, so you know it has to be extremely cool for him to get a shoutout from Morant, who is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now.
Unfortunately, it's unlikely that Chandler and Morant will get to play together at the next level — the Grizzlies won't have a lottery pick this summer and at this point, it's hard to see Chandler not being a lottery selection.
