Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Cade Mays is at the NFL scouting combine this week, hoping to impress teams and improve his draft stock.

Mays spoke to the media on Thursday morning and he was asked about Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

The Tennessee native told reporters that Burrow is the best player he's ever seen play in person.

Before Mays came to Tennessee, he played for the Georgia Bulldogs for two seasons. As a sophomore, Mays played for the Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game against Burrow and the LSU Tigers.

LSU was a juggernaut at the time — and they flexed their muscle against Georgia in the SEC Championship game, winning 37-10 (they eventually cruised to a College Football Playoff Championship game win against the Clemson Tigers).

Burrow was a machine in that game, passing for 349 yards and four touchdowns.

Cincinnati is in desperate need of some offensive line help. Mays is projected as a third-round pick, but he could be a first-round value. The former five-star recruit only gave up one sack in 2021 while playing 493 snaps. Mays has experience at all five offensive line positions, but he'll most likely play at guard in the NFL.

The former Vol could be a great fit with the Bengals.
