Former Tennessee Vols running back Gerald Riggs Jr tweeted a video out on Monday of the celebration in Neyland Stadium after beating Florida and there was something I noticed about it that should make UT fans smile.

In the video that Riggs posted, it looked like not a soul had left Neyland Stadium. The stands were just as packed for the celebration as they were for kick-off.

I know opposing fan bases will disagree, but the Tennessee fan base is truly the best fan base in the nation.

Vols fans showed up and delivered an electric atmosphere for over three hours. Then they stayed in their seats (well, stood near their seats) as they celebrated along with the team.

Not only does this say a lot about the loyalty of Tennessee fans (which has never been in doubt), but it was also great for recruiting.

The Vols had a litany of talented recruits in town for the Florida game. And from a recruiting standpoint, the game played out perfectly. It was intense until the last play and it ended in a win for Tennessee, which led to an eruption from the crowd. Recruits were right in the thick of all of it.

Fans can have a big impact on the program. And I certainly think they did on Saturday. They set the tone for the game by being loud, they made things tough on Florida, and they made sure recruits saw one of the best atmospheres in college football at its best.

It was essentially a perfect Saturday for the Vols.
