Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt made UT history on Thursday night.

Hyatt was named the Biletnikoff Award winner by the Tallahassee quarterback club foundation. The award goes to the nation’s best pass catcher each season.

Hyatt is the first Tennessee player to win the award.

The South Carolina native finished the 2022 season with 67 receptions for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Hyatt’s 1,267 yards were the most in the SEC by almost 400 yards. His 15 touchdowns were tied with Houston’s Nathaniel Dell for the most in the nation.

There wasn’t a more dynamic player in the nation this season than Hyatt. He was certainly deserving of the award.

During ESPN’s broadcast, Hyatt said he’s still 50/50 on returning to Tennessee next season and he should have a decision sometime next week.
