The Tennessee Vols’ 62-24 win against the Missouri Tigers was all-around impressive.
Tennessee moved the ball at will against Missouri’s subpar defense. The Vols were particularly efficient in the run game, rushing for an insane 458 yards.
That’s an impressive stat on its own.
But it’s even more impressive when you realize it’s the most yards that a Power-5 team has rushed for in a game this season.
After much @Vol_Stats researching …
Turns out what we saw on Saturday was an all-time Tennessee performance. pic.twitter.com/SjtvPfKypR

I get that Missouri isn’t very good. But they’re still an SEC program.
Of course, it doesn’t really matter how good or bad Missouri is — there are undoubtedly worse teams in the country than the Tigers. And none of those teams have given up the number of rushing yards to a Power-5 opponent that Missouri gave up to Tennessee on Saturday.
To put this in perspective, Alabama had 424 total yards of offense against Mercer, an FCS opponent, earlier this season.
What Tennessee accomplished on Saturday was impressive regardless of the opponent.
