The latest mock draft from The Athletic's Dane Brugler has the Tennessee Titans selecting a former Tennessee Vols standout in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Brugler has the Titans drafting Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt with the No. 41 overall pick.

After two "quiet" seasons at Tennessee, Hyatt burst onto the scene in 2022 with a massive year.

Hyatt caught 21 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns in 2021.

This past season, the South Carolina native caught 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns. Hyatt quickly became known as the most dangerous big-play threat in the nation this season after his massive five-touchdown game against Alabama.

Hyatt has elite, game-breaking speed (he's expected to run in the 4.2 range at the combine/his pro day) that will play in the NFL.

He's also a better route runner than he gets credit for. He was often wide open in 2022 because of broken coverages, but he's still a "technician" in his routes.

The Titans' offense obviously revolves around running back Derrick Henry. But they could still use an explosive threat in the passing game — that's something the Titans were lacking in 2022.

It's going to be a busy offseason for the Titans. They need a new general manager, a new offensive coordinator, and maybe a new quarterback. Regardless of how those scenarios play out, Hyatt would be a nice addition in Nashville.

Brugler, by the way, has the Titans selecting Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones with the No. 11 overall pick.

From The Athletic:

Depending on what the Titans do in free agency, this could be a very offensive line-focused draft. Nine years ago, the franchise used the No. 11 pick on a promising left tackle named Taylor Lewan, who became a Pro Bowler. With Lewan looming as a potential offseason cut, history could repeat itself here and land Jones in Tennessee.

The Titans drafted Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. And that move failed spectacularly as Wilson played just one game (four snaps) for the Titans before getting traded to the Miami Dolphins for a seventh-round draft pick.

It'll be interesting to see if the Titans select another Georgia offensive lineman after the Wilson debacle.
