Tennessee Titans wide receiver AJ Brown knows by now that everything he posts on social media is taken literally by fans and reporters.
Last month, Brown created controversy when he tweeted that former Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was the best leader he's ever been around.
Brown deleted the tweet after folks started taking his praise of Mariota as a shot at current Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
Not long after the Mariota tweet, there was a report that the New York Jets are keeping an eye on Brown's "situation" with the Titans.
Brown is in line for a mega-contract extension. In recent weeks, we've seen contract negotiations with wide receivers turn sour and end with a trade being made (Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill). No one necessarily thinks that will be the case with Brown, but it can't be ruled out after all the NFL craziness we saw last month.

On Thursday, Brown gave the trade rumor mill some more ammunition, via a comment he left on an Instagram post.
The official NFL Instagram account posted a photo of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver DeVonte Smith together in all-green uniforms.
Brown commented on the photo with a couple of fire emojis, which led to a response from Hurts that asked if Brown was trying to join forces in Philly.
To Brown's credit, he admitted that the comment from Hurts was going to "stir up" some stuff.
I'm sure this is harmless, but at this point, it feels like Brown enjoys fooling around on social media and creating some chaos. He knows he's in a good position right now and can almost name his price. This could be the biggest contract he ever receives in his career, so it's hard to blame him for wanting to maximize his earnings.
Titans fans, however, would probably prefer that he stops with the mixed signals on social media while this contract situation gets worked out.
