Tennessee Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello loves everything about being in Knoxville.
Vitello has leaned all the way into the Tennessee fan base. He absolutely loves the passion of Vols fans. Vitello feeds off it.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise that Vitello was front and center this past Saturday before Tennessee’s football team took on Florida in a key early-season battle.
Vitello appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay before hanging out with Dave Portnoy and Dan Katz on their show.
Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, compared Tennessee’s baseball team from this past season to a WWE event. That’s when Vitello said his team feeds off “these crazy ass fans”.

Vitello of course means that in the most endearing way possible. The man loves him some Tennessee. And you can tell there’s no other place he’d rather be.
With all Vols sports seemingly on a roll right now, the nation is seeing what a special place Rocky Top is.
I can’t imagine there’s another program having more fun than Tennessee right now.
