The lasting image of Urban Meyer as a head coach will be as a complete failure.

Yes, the man who has won three national championships — two at Florida and one at Ohio State — is a failure.

He's also a fraud.

Meyer has pretended to be a good person for the duration of his career. But in reality, he's a narcissistic jerk with a copious amount of insecurities who happened to coach some really good players.

Without Tim Tebow or JT Barrett, Meyer would be just another coach in college football that's had a sprinkle of success.

When the going gets tough, Meyer bolts. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if he finds a way out of Jacksonville in the coming months, likely under the guise of wanting to spend more time with his family.

The self-described family man, who was spotted at a bar in Ohio earlier this year cozying up to a woman that wasn't his wife, loves to quit when faced when adversity. If you're going through a tough time, this isn't the guy you want in your corner.

Meyer quit at Florida after going 8-5 in 2010 (life without Tebow wasn't for Meyer). Then he quit at Ohio State after being faced with questions about his knowledge of domestic abuse committed by his wide receivers coach Zach Smith (against Smith's wife).

I expect he'll soon do the same in Jacksonville — considering the toxic environment that Meyer has manifested in the Jaguars' locker room.

According to a report from NFL.com, at some point this season, Meyer singled out the assistants on his staff and made them explain when they hadn't been winners in their career.

From NFL.com:

During a staff meeting, Meyer delivered a biting message that he's a winner and his assistant coaches are losers, according to several people informed of the contents of the meeting, challenging each coach individually to explain when they've ever won and forcing them to defend their résumés.

There was also his handling of Jaguars wide receiver Marvin Jones.

From NFL.com:

Receiver Marvin Jones — one of the locker room's most respected and mild-mannered veterans — became so angry with Meyer's public and private criticism of the receiver group that he left the facility until other staff members convinced him to come back and had a heated argument with Meyer during practice.

Jaguars players have also frequently complained about Meyer not treating them like adults.

From NFL.com:

Several Jaguars players vented their frustration to Rams players after that game, sources say, reiterating a common complaint that Meyer — who had no prior NFL experience — doesn't treat them like adults.

Sounds like the only loser in this equation is Meyer.

What's Urban Meyer's next move?

There's plenty of speculation out there that when Meyer quits the Jaguars (or gets fired…whichever comes first) that he'll return to the college game.

I'm not sure that will be the case. I don't think any major program is going to touch Meyer. He's going to be a pariah in the college football world after his grand failure in the NFL.

And I don't think Meyer's pride would allow him to go to a Group of 5 program.

Additionally, I don't think television will want anything to do with Meyer after all of this, either.

Meyer should've just stayed retired, but his ego got in the way. He thought he could go to Jacksonville and win big with former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Instead, the Jaguars have one of the worst records in the NFL, and Lawrence has regressed as a quarterback.

I absolutely can't wait to hear who all Meyer blames as his career falls apart while we all watch in mirthful delight.
