Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Vols are reportedly receiving a visit from a coveted ACC transfer guard this week.

According to VolQuest’s Mike Wilson, California transfer guard Dai Dai Ames is set to visit Tennessee this weekend.

Ames, 6-foot-2/190 pounds from Chicago, IL, is a former four-star recruit who started his career at Kansas State.

After his freshman season, Ames transferred to Virginia before landing at California for his junior season. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

Ames averaged 16.9 points per game while connecting on 38 percent of his three-point attempts at Cal last season.

Tennessee is also receiving a visit from a 6’10” center

The Vols are also set to receive a visit this weekend from Loyola (Chicago) transfer center Miles Rubin, a former three-star recruit from Chicago.

Rubin, 6-foot-10/220 pounds, averaged 11.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks last season (all career highs).

The talented transfer center has one season of eligibility remaining after spending the last three seasons at Loyola.

Tennessee received a commitment from Belmont graduate transfer guard Tyler Lundblade earlier this month.

Additionally, forward Dwayne Brown and guard Troy Henderson recently announced their intentions to return to Tennessee for the 2026-27 season.
