By now, you've likely seen Ohio State head coach Ryan Day's viral postgame interview after the Buckeyes' win against Notre Dame this past weekend.

Day took offense to some comments made by former Notre Dame head coach Lou Holtz, who suggested during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that Ohio State isn't a physical football team.

Lou Holtz doubled down on his comments about Ohio State earlier this week.

Former Florida Gators head coach Steve Spurrier gave his thoughts on the Day/Holtz beef during an appearance on Another Dooley Noted Podcast this week and he didn't take Day's side.

Instead, Spurrier took Holtz's side.

"He didn't say anything terrible," said Spurrier about Holtz's comments. "Ohio State's lost some close games. They've been out-muscled. He (Day) didn't necessarily clobber Notre Dame. He was very fortunate."

"Danny Wuerfful (former Florida QB under Spurrier) and I, if we had won a game like that where we scored on the one-yard line with two seconds left," continued Spurrier. "We'd be saying a lot of thank you Lords instead of 'we're tough, we're mean'. We'd be saying a lot of thank you's that's for sure. Either team could've won that game."

Maybe Ryan Day will go crazy on Spurrier if Ohio State beats Maryland at home on Saturday afternoon. Day might as well keep the character going at this point.
