A former Tennessee Vols standout appears to be in line to make his first career NFL start this weekend.

And if he does, it will come in the biggest NFL game of the week.

Former Vols offensive lineman Wanya Morris, who played at Tennessee in 2019 and 2020 before transferring to Oklahoma, looks to be in line to start at left tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

Morris, a third round selection by the Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft, played 46 snaps against the Green Bay Packers last weekend after starter Donovan Smith left the game due to injury.

Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said on Wednesday that there's a good chance Morris will start against the Bills.

If Morris starts, it means there will be two former Vols protecting quarterback Patrick Mahomes with former Tennessee offensive lineman Trey Smith entrenched as the Chiefs' starting right guard (Smith and Morris were teammates for two seasons at UT).

Morris told reporters this week that he plans to prepare the same way he's been preparing all season.

Morris may not have finished his collegiate career with the Vols, but he made sure to show Tennessee some love at the Senior Bowl earlier this year by wearing a Power T decal on the back of his Oklahoma helmet.

Kansas City and Buffalo kick off at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday.
