Former Tennessee Vols standout Byron Young, a third round selection by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2023 NFL Draft, combined with fellow rookie teammate Kobie Turner to join a rare group of NFL players.
Young and Turner combined for 110 pressures in 2023, which is the most by a pair of rookies since 2018 according to Next Gen Stats.
The 111 pressures puts Young and Turner above rookie duos that included names such as Micah Parsons, Maxx Crosby, and Nick Bosa.
Rookies accounted for 37.6 percent of defensive front pressures for the Rams in 2023, which was a league high (the Rams were the only team above 25 percent, thanks to Young and Turner).
Young, who played at Tennessee from 2021 to 2022 after transferring from Georgia Military College, finished his rookie season with 61 tackles, eight sacks, and two forced fumbles.
You can't ask for much more out of a third round rookie edge rusher than what Young provided for the Rams in 2023. He certainly has a bright future in the NFL.
