Transfer guard that’s set to visit Tennessee already has another visit lined up for after he leaves Knoxville
The Tennessee Vols are set to host a coveted transfer guard on a visit this week. Tennessee, however, may need to close the deal before he leaves campus if they’re going to land him.
The Tennessee Vols are set to host California transfer guard Dai Dai Ames on a visit this week.
Ames is expected to be at Tennessee for his visit on Friday.
The 6-foot-2 transfer guard averaged 16.9 points per game while connecting on 38 percent of his three-point attempts at Cal last season.
Ames has one season of eligibility remaining.
Another program is set to host Dai Dai Ames on a visit after he leaves Tennessee
The Vols may need to close the deal with Ames on Friday if he’s going to play on Rocky Top.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Ames has a visit lined up to Xavier on Saturday, and he’s looking to line up visits to several other programs, too.
“He will visit Tennessee on Friday and Xavier on Saturday. Kansas is set to Zoom with him on Thursday,” wrote Tipton on Thursday. “And he is also looking to set up visits to Kansas, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss. I’m watching the ‘Vols the closest here.”
It sounds like the Volunteers are in a good spot for Ames, but the visits will ultimately determine who lands the coveted transfer guard.
