The Tennessee Vols missed out on one of their top 2024 recruiting targets on Thursday when five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton shockingly committed to Colorado.
Tennessee, along with Oregon, Ohio State, and Alabama were viewed as the favorites for Seaton.
But while Seaton's commitment to Colorado came as a surprise, it might not ultimately be where he ends up.
On3's Alex Gleitman noted on Tuesday, two days before Seaton's commitment announcement, that he heard from a source that it wouldn't be a surprise if the five-star offensive lineman signs with a different program than the one he commits to.
"One interesting thing I heard from a source is that they wouldn’t be surprised if Seaton pledged somewhere this week, but signed somewhere else whenever he submits his letter of intent," wrote Gleitman.
That report would seem to suggest that Seaton's recruitment isn't over just yet. The early signing period begins on December 20.
Seaton's recruitment has been unpredictable so far. It's certainly possible he signs with Colorado. But based on the note from Gleitman earlier this week, we can't quite rule out that another twist in Seaton's recruitment could be on the way.
